I liked this book! So much more than I did 'Taking Chances'. The author did ramble on a little towards the end like in that book, but not nearly as much. Sometimes I just want her to end the book earlier on but to each their own. I don't always have to know the characters' entire life story in one book. The last few chapters always seem to go on and on and on. I get that they are living happily ever... just wrap it up already.
First, let's start off with Gage Carson! Wow! Yum! Delish! Who doesn't love a Texas cowboy that just happens to be a gorgeous, sweet talking hunk of a fictional character? I know I sure do! Perfection! I loved his character from the first page till the last page.
Secondly, let's talk about Cassidy. She's a pretty cool character for the most part. Dumb, yeah. But not nearly as sheltered and stupid as the girl from 'Taking Chances'. You could actually relate to Cassidy even when she was doing things that made you want to punch her in the face.
Thirdly, let's talk about Tyler. Seriously a giant douche! Even when he was having his "good" moments throughout the book, I still hated him. Which was good because then I knew that Cassidy wasn't going to end up with him instead of Gage. She might be retarded at times but she wasn't a horrible person who would pick a retard like Tyler over a hottie like Gage.
In 'Taking Chances', Harper only ended up with Brandon out of default when Chase died. I was seriously worried that the author was going to pull the same stunt in this book, but she didn't! Thank goodness! I wanted to be able to rate this one 5 Little Bookworms but I just couldn't with the prolong ending. Still, this book gave me a better understanding of Molly McAdam's writing choices. I'm just happy that this book didn't upset me as much as her last book did. So, go out and read this book because it was really good!

I am a little over half way through this book and so far I love it! Wow... Gage! OMG - I love you! Tyler - I really don't like you at all. Cassi - You aren't too bad, but let's face it, you aren't Gage!
Molly McAdam's book's are a little long-winded but usually worth it. This is the same author that wrote, 'Taking Chances'. I feel like I read, read and read some more and can't even make a dent in this book. I'm just ready for it to all go down. Gage and Cassi are too happy for it to last much longer. The description tells you that much, but I'm still not ready for Cassi to break Gage's heart and run back to that asshole Tyler.
I am excited to see how it ends and hopefully I can get it done tomorrow night. I've actually been busy at work, shhh don't tell any one, they might try and make it a regular occurrence. I will be sure to post a new blog letting you know what I think of the completed book so hold tight!

Okay... so this book was pretty amazing. But once again, I would really like to take out that little part of my brain that thinks too much. I had this book figured out before she even started foreshadowing it. Why can't I use this crazy, wicked brain power for something good instead of evil? I'd really like to enjoy the shock of a book for once.
Regardless, this book was pretty kick ass! Kacey is so funny! If you don't laugh reading this then there is probably something seriously wrong with you. This author is amazing! I have already went on amazon and got a different series of hers to start on.
You will enjoy this book because it's deep without being too deep. It touches on some pretty intense topics but isn't written around those 100%. It's hard to explain but you will totally understand if you decide to read it. I'd highly recommend this book and I promise you won't be let down.
Every single character will steal your heart after meeting them. Only a talented writer like this can mix a run-a-way PTSD survivor, a teenager way past her years, a not so dumb blonde haired, big boobed stripper, an adorable little kid, a police officer, and a hot neighbor all into one book and get away with it. It is super funny from the first few pages until the end. You will love to hate the Kacey and Trent at times but are so happy when they finally get their shit together.

It had the makings of the perfect romantic set up. Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Boy has girlfriend? Okay, maybe not.
But attraction is a hard thing to ignore and soon Jordan and Maysie find themselves in the middle of a gossip induced firestorm. Maysie has to learn whether she can set aside her fear of public disapproval in order to be with the one she wants. Or will she let the opinions of others dictate her life and her heart?
I really wanted to like this book more but I just couldn't. It started out so good then just went downhill from there. I loved Maysie at first then she turned into a little drama queen! And I don't do drama queens! I will however say differently for Jordon. He is the one thing that stayed good throughout this book. Oh and her roommate too! I really liked that girl!
I felt myself skipping parts just to get to the end and that's never a good sign. It had such potential but somewhere it just want all wonky. The writing was good, the plot was good, the characters were even believable. I don't know why but I just couldn't love this book.
I wouldn't say don't read it because it was entertaining, it just wasn't as good as I thought it could be. I felt let down to be honest. Maysie went from total kickass to complete whinny bitch overnight. Her character is probably the main reason I couldn't fully enjoy this book.
Let's just call it a draw on this one. It wasn't good, it wasn't bad, it wasn't much of anything except a decent read. If you've read it and feel differently let me know because I would love to be proven wrong on this one.
Shattered

When your life has been shattered can you really pick up all the pieces and move on?
Mature YA/New Adult Recommended for readers 17+
Here is another one that I wanted to love but just couldn't. It's pretty depressing from start to finish. I mean, the entire book does revolve around two friend's best friend dying, so yeah, it's pretty sad. Jesse & Alyssa are great characters but they are kind of annoying at the same time. They are both too stubborn for their own good.
My favorite character is the one who is dead actually. Their best friend died and is brought back via flashback memories so you get a good sense of who he is. You almost read it wishing that he didn't die in that car accident because the book could have been so much better with him in it more.
I guess my biggest issue is with Alyssa because she is just pathetic from the get-go. I've never lost anyone that close to me so I can't say how I'd cope with a loss that great but you really want to punch Alyssa sometimes. She just keeps dragging her feet pretending like it will all just go away magically.
Another book with so much potential that I personally feel just fell flat. It's not a horrible book and I'd totally tell someone to read it but it just wasn't the book for me. I need my female characters to have a little more spunk than this one does. I also need for the characters to take chance more. It's really frustrating when you read a book and just want to reach into the pages and shake the sense into the characters. That's how I felt most of this book. I just wanted to grab a hold of them and force something interesting to happen already.
If you are interested in it and want to know more details just ask me. It really is a well written book that might be wonderful for someone, just not for me. I would read another book by the author in a heartbeat. I just don't think this subject matter was the right one for me to invest in.
Accidentally on Purpose

Even as their relationship takes off, Emmy is finding Kyle hard to shake. He is blatant in his feelings and desires for Emmy, putting her in an awkward situation. She tries hard to resist Kyle, but deep down inside Emmy's motives are shady. When Emmy succumbs to her hidden feelings for Kyle without setting Luke free, devastating consequences ensue.
In addition to her two men, Emmy daydreams about doing violent things to her loud mouthed, opinionated mother.
With drama, romance, some humor, and plenty of alcohol, follow Emmy as she deals with the consequences of "accidentally on purpose" falling for two men at once.
And once again, as if I'm a broken record, this one just wasn't as good as it could have been. Because it started off amazing! Better than amazing... it started off incredible. It was probably one of the funnest books I'd read in a while. It keep me entertained until about 75% through the book. At that point, it just kind of flopped.
Gotta admit though, my quick thinking little brain didn't see it coming as too why her boss was acting the way he was. It almost felt forced when that was revealed. Totally out of left field on that little piece of information. It was almost as if it was an after thought to help validate some crazy ass behavior.
Then the poor "other guy" was entirely too good for Emmy from the get-go. Why he even kept her around for as long as he did I will not understand. Then towards the end when things get interesting it's like a second person swooped it to write the ending. I just remember reading a chapter thinking WTF just happened. Then it just got stranger. Then after all of that it started to swing back around to normal-town. A little too late I might add. By that time I just wanted the book to be over with because I was sad about it's drastic plummet towards crappy-town book USA.
Another book that was just frustrating! You completely fall in love with Emmy from the first page and feel horribly let down towards the middle-end of the book. I still don't understand what happened to be honest with you. Like I said, someone else started writing parts into the book and just took over at the worst possible times. I wanted to pull my own hair out reading the end. It just kept going and going and taking me no where!
I was probably the most disappointed in this book because it started out so freaking good! I laughed so hard reading it at first. You will see, it just makes you giggle because it's so blunt and frank. Then out of nowhere it just changes into something else. I truly believe this book was abducted by aliens and probed within an inch of its life before crashing back down to Earth. Then you are left with a book that rambles on and on about aliens kidnapping it and how they are really out there and they are coming back for it. Seriously, it was that for fetched at times.
Okay, maybe that's just me being dramatic. I just wanted this book to be so much different than it was. I can deal with annoying little slutty brats who cheat and are torn between Mr. Right and Mr. Wrong. I just can't deal with a book that makes you want to slam the characters head into the ground in order to try and wake her back up.
Please if you read this and thought the same thing, please let me know, because I don't like feeling this crazy. And once again, it was a great book just not for me. So please don't let these reviews turn you off from taking a chance on them because they are all very talented authors and works of art. Falling Update
Finally I have found some amazing books that are beyond good reads! I can't wait to get this posted because you are seriously missing out if you haven't read these books yet. Wow! If you, like me, are tired of the same teenage love triangle, then these are the books for you. They are for mature young adults and do contain some fun things that aren't for the younger readers. So whatever you are doing, put it down and pick up the box of Kleenex because you are going to need it!

The coincidence of callie & kayden

OMG! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this book is. I've read her Ella & Micha book and didn't think it was all that amazing. As for her other novels, I haven't read them so I wouldn't really know. But this one I did read and this one I will recommend because it blew my mind! Now I will be the first to admit that I tend to figure out things before most do. So nothing shocked me in this book because I did see it before the author made it obvious, but that didn't take away from the book at all. The story of these two characters is beyond heartbreaking. This book will fustrate you, make you fall in love over and over, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry your eyes out. If you don't hit every emotional available then you are broken. Sorry, but it's true. This book just hit a spot in my heart that needed to be reached. Sometimes you just come across those books that make you see life in a total different way and that is how I felt after finishing this book.
You will fall in love with Kayden from the very first time he makes an appearance in the book. Even though Callie is a little odd, she is very reachable when it comes to a character. You might not have been through what she has but you understand her because of it. When her and Kayden begin their relationship it is completely buy-able because they don't just swoon over one another for no apparent reason. They take their time finding each other and growing together. They get scared and they back away and then they run back to each other. It's very "real" and "touching". I think that is why I fell in love with this book so much. They are both the underdogs hiding unexplainable hurt inside but slapping on a brave face for everyone around them. They are really an amazing couple and fantastic characters. I highly suggest you grab this book and read it before starting anything else. It is just, wow!

Abbi Glines has done it again... like always! She just keeps getting better with every book she releases. This is another book that I picked up and read cover to cover in one sitting. It's just that good of a story that you don't want to put it down. I've read all of her other series (for the most part anyways) and this is her newest to be released. It's always fun being introduced to new characters with a completely different comfort zone that you are use to by an author. This is not like any of Abbi Gines other books and I suggest you run and grab it as well and start reading!
Blaire is a sweet-hearted girl just trying her best to overcome the crappy life that she has been dealt. While you will want to hate Rush with a passion, you just simply aren't able to. For some unknown reason the boy will just tug at your heartstrings. Trust me, you will want to knee him in the balls at times! Other times you just want to tell Blaire to kiss him already! It's a very love-hate type of relationship. Again, there is no love triangle or teenage drama attached to this book. While those things are fun, sometimes they can become boring and predictable. This is certainly not a book that is going to put you to sleep while reading it. Once again all of the characters are relatable and the plot is believable. By the end of this book you will be blurry-eyed and begging for more when it leaves you with a giant question mark. The second book can't come out soon enough for my liking. Now, go enjoy!

She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
I had been putting this book off for a while now because I was just being to cheap to shell out the few bucks for it. I know, I am cheap! My husband's tightass ways are rubbing off on me. Except when it comes to shoes but lets get back to the book review before I self-incriminate anymore. I am glad that I finally went and got it and pushed it to the top of my to-read list because it was adorable. Again, no teenage love triangle crap and mature young adult content.
It's one of those books that you have to rush out and grab but I would say that it should be something that you read when you get the time. It was funny and heartfelt. I enjoyed the book and who doesn't love a hot british guy? Seriously now, he totally made the book for me. Even though I couldn't do a fake british accent to save my life, I did however find myself reading his parts in one. Somehow, even in it's horrible sounding way, it made Garrick ten times hotter! Garrick, yes Bliss is so right when he names even sounds hot. Oh yeah, and Bliss the girl you will love too. She is just adorable. She's cute and quirky and lovable. There journey together is fun and entertaining. I think it's a great book and would read this author again in a heartbeat.

Come on now, the title of this book will make you ponder buying and the description will seal the deal. Funny! OMG! It has been a while since I read a book and actually laughed out loud at parts. I got a few strange looks and wild comments but totally worth it. From the first paragraph you will be cracking up all the way to the end. Seriously though, the end will make you nearly pee you pants from laughing so hard.
Caroline & Simon will drive you mad with their sexual tension and frustration that builds the whole book. Even Caroline's girlfriend are lovable and quick-witted. This author is totally someone I would love to be friends with. She reminds me so much of myself and some of my closest friends when we get together. Some of the stuff this girl comes up with makes me envious. Like, why couldn't I be that clever?
I haven't read her Readhead Series yet but I do have the first book downloaded. I'm not one to read a series in a row or an author one after another because I do get burnt out and bored easily regardless of the material. So, I am taking some time to finish up my own book and read a few others before I start her other series. But I promise I will keep you updated on that as well because if it is half as funny as this book is then it's still worth blogging about. I am just happy to finally have another set of good books in a row to rate. I really hate reading a book and then not enjoying it and then blogging about it. But, I can't just tell you all the good without warning you of some of the bad. That just wouldn't be fair; plus not everyone has the same taste as me, so I think it's important to shed the light on all that I read.

Let's start of by saying that I saw this book on, of course, the top 100 free kindle best sellers list. I got it a while back when it started jumping up on the list. Looked okay from the description, nothing to die for, or so I thought. The main reason I did get this book was because of it's high rating. I don't know what it is know, but at the time it had a bunch of reviews and it was 5 stars. That's like unheard of to have that many reviews and them all be 5 stars. So, I took a chance yesterday when I saw that it moved over to the top 100 kindle best sellers list (paid version) and decided I needed to find out what was so amazing about this book. Thank goodness that I did because wow! just wow! it was that good. It was beyond good! I still can't get over how good it was to be honest with you.
I have been on another one of those long, endless strings of bad books and felt like giving up for a while. Thankfully, I joined the bandwagon and got to reading this one. I has jump started my back into 'I must read ever waking moment' trend and I love it for that. Sometimes you just get a bad batch of books, I'll get to those next, but it only takes one to change it all around.
Reason #1 - this book is mature young adult (thank you sex scenes!)
Reason #2 - a strong female lead (granted she is down but she certainly isn't out or whinny!)
Reason #3 - ANDREW PARRISH! *swoon worthy*
Reason #4 - No Drama! No Love Triangle! No annoyingly unrealistic fantasy boys fighting over an over the top little spoiled princess who doesnt deserve two amazing hotties fighting over her. Fiction or not, I need realistic!
Reason #5 - The last few chapters you will cry. You will cry so hard that you can't even see the sentences any longer because your tears are getting in the way. You will cry so much that you have to stop and wipe them away because they are falling at a pace that is dramatic for being too emotional invested in a book and their characters. You will check the page number/percentage of how much is left at least 30 times in the last few chapters because you are so sad that you can't possible have the book end by ripping your heart out like this. You will curse the author for daring to bring you down this emotional road and scare you to death thinking the ending is going to kill you because there isn't possibly enough book left to fix this tear-jerking ending.

| Let's start with book #1 then move to #2 & #3...
Book #1 - The Australian writing style was different. If you read it you will understand what I am talking about. Just certain things they say are so different from how we would say it. Sometimes it cute then other times it's really annoying. It's one thing to have an Aussie say something Australian but it's another to have the American say something Aussie.
Okay... so this first book really got me hooked! I love me some vampires and really, who doesn't love the love triangle thing? Granted, it can be annoying at times but you know you go crazy wondering who they will end up with. Keeps ya on your toes :D So this book did just that. The girl is rather irritating but she has her reasons so I let it slide.
Book #2 - Bought it because book #1 left me dying to know who she was going to pick and what she was going to do. Hmmm... that's all I will say for those of you that do intend to read this on. Let's just say that at some point you need to pick one and stick with it. Because really, what guy is going to put up with your annoying crap, not get sex in return, and have to fight for you. Seriously? Only in a book could that ever happen. By the end of this one I was sick and tired of her 'poor poor pitiful little me' routine. I can only take so much of that crap before I want to slap the character myself.
Book #3 - I didn't get far. I couldn't make myself because I was basically rereading books 1 & 2 over and over again. Nothing new happens. Nothing exciting happens. It's still the same annoying little brat crying over everything that's so horrible in her life while stringing along two guys who are obviously brain dead. Needless to say, I put this book down and moved on to bigger and better things. My life is boring, dull, and I like whine over my own overly dramatic little not-so-exciting life. I can't deal with your crap along with it. I read to escape the my normal life and you are just making me depressed more. Time to just cut my losses and remember you for the first book and try to forget the rest.

This has been on my kindle forever and I finally decided to give it a whirl. Well, I didn't get very far before getting really board. I wanted to like it but it was not the book for me.
Reason #1 - Vampires! I love vampires and I selfishly love them a certain way. I do not like my vampires to be some gothic freak with pale skin (albino) that sports green & black hair. If you aren't a hot vampire (by my ridiculously high standards) then I just can't be invested in your story.
Reason #2 - When you are a girl living in the middle of no where and you discover someone lurking around in your backyard, you do not invite them in (especially if they look like said vampire ^^) after only meeting them earlier that day/week or whatever. This is when I want to stop the book and rewrite the scene to make her run up the stairs wearing a see-through & no bra (classic, i know right?) top bouncing like a giddy little school girl when the guy with the axe is slowly tailing you with every intent on slicing you into pieces. Why you might ask??? One: I'm just morbid like that :D Two: You are seriously a dumb bitch that needs to be killed before you can reproduce more idiot offspring like yourself. Hence why I stopped reading the book and decided to move on because it wasn't going to get any better.

Here we go again... I did get like 80% through this one before I gave up. It started out good. It got weird. Then it got really, really weird. Then it just took a crazy ass left turn straight to crazyville! And I happen to enjoy the random little visits to crazyville but this one like the bad part of town crazyville that you don't venture into alone, in the dark without being a drug dealer, hooker, or just in general being a complete freak with a death wish. There I said it... this book was ten times crazy the level of weird that I am into.
Reason #1 - The girl needs to eat! The book makes her sound like a half-starved little bag of bones!
Reason #2 - Popular guys who are jerks don't randomly turn into swoon-worthy lovers over night especially if you are a sack of bones.
Reason #3 - The extensive pot use early on in the book should have hinted towards something that I just wasn't even prepared for but stumbled into and feel like a complete idiot for not seeing all the warning signs leading up to it.
Reason #4 - Any book that has extensive drug use, random and creepy sex scenes, and holy-rollers should be listed with a warning label for gullible people like me.
Reason #5 - Teenagers with the insight to take over the world because this town has obviously been drinking contaminated water and every time I turn a page someone new has a super power. Hmm... did I mention creepy teens trying to use religion and sex to overtake the population?
If theses few reasons don't scare you then please, by all means, read this book and tell me that I was wrong. I can't be the best judge since I didn't finish it but I read enough to know that I wasted too much of my time on it. Creepy!

The water shut off in the bathroom. The swish of a towel as he dried himself. He was in a hurry: he wanted me.
The bathroom door opened and he emerged, hair damp, a towel around his waist. I was right about the body: his chest was still nicely defined, his stomach firm. A three times a week in the gym man. As he walked towards me, I noticed there was a full-length mirror behind him. I watched myself as I stepped forwards to meet him, looking into my own eyes. A sharp intake of breath, and I knew he'd just glanced down at the backs of my legs and seen the seam running vertically up each leg. Men are nothing if not predictable.
I released my hair and gently stepped away, the hair sweeping down my back as the dress slid from my body. I stepped out of it and stood with my back to him for a second, relishing the moment. He could see the strap of my bra, the back of my suspender belt. My naked bum: he knew I wasn't wearing any knickers. The stockings and heels stayed on, and would do for the evening unless he asked me to remove them. He wouldn't.
There was a black leather armchair in front of me. Very slowly, I turned around, the low light of the room making the naked skin above the stockings gleam, milky-white smoothness against glossy black silk. And between my thighs, framed by the black of the suspender belt, was a neatly-trimmed strip of bright auburn hair. The proof, if you will, that I'm a genuine redhead.

I think I got the first novella free on amazon. It was enjoyable so I was suckered into buying the complete set. It said it would save me money so of course I wasted like $8 on this crap only to find out that I got screwed out of $8 that could have bought me a coffee at Starbucks. The girl is just a freak! Plain and simple! But she isn't the type of freak I want to read 85,000 words about. Maybe the short little novella, but after that it was just wasteful. I know I sound harsh, but I am just being honest with you. Please feel free to check this one out and prove me wrong. Strange. Let's just leave it at that... strange!
Although I have missed some book reviews between this and my last post, these are the newest ones I've finished reading. The overall mix isn't a great batch but I have been browsing my kindle and reading books that I downloaded months back. Except for an exception or two ; ) I hope this helps if you are one the fence about any of the following books! Out of all of the books I am going to review on this posting, this is the best of the bunch. Not only do I love Abbi Glines and all of her books but I also love the Sea Breeze series. This one wasn't as great as Because of Low or While it Lasts but it was still a good story. You can't go wrong when you buy a book like this from such a talented author. It was $7.99 which is killing me to admit that I bought but it was worth it. This author is worth it and with of her new success she deserves to be able to up her book prices. It still doesn't change the fact that I am a super cheap little e-book tightwad but oh well. Sometimes you just have to splurge to get some good entertainment. I would highly recommend this book and any other book from Abbi Glines. Love! Love! Love!

Hmmm... I got this one free of the top 100 free amazon e-books. It was just 'alright' to be honest. I wanted to like this book because it has such amazing reviews and list the author as a best seller etc. I kept waiting for it to get somewhere and then it just ended leaving you hanging and confused. The main character is whiny and pathetic! I hate whiny-sad female leads in books. Now I will tell you that I did buy the second book ($6.99) and might have gotten a few chapters in before returning it. I was hoping that it would give me some kind of answer to my cliff hanger but it just continued to drag on with the same old whiny characters storyline. Maybe this one just wasn't the book for me because it has really great reviews and people seem to love it. It is currently $4.99 on amazon and I don't think I would pay for it if I had to. I'm cheap, really cheap when it comes to e-books and $4.99 is something I seriously think about before buying. I typically have to either love or have read the author before or referred by a friend. If I were to put a little price tag on it, I would say at most it should be $2.99. It wasn't a great book but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever read either. Just not my style of book so I really can't tell you one way or the other if you should try it out.

I think I got this book for free when it was on the top 100 free list. I know I wouldn't have paid the $2.99 that it costs now. The book was 'okay'. It was very predictable and never seemed to build up to anything. Sometimes I felt like I was breezing through paragraphs because it basically only contained what the character did that day. I want a story not a detailed list of your boring life. I have a boring life hence why I want to read about an exciting one! I personally wouldn't buy it but since it was free and a fast read I can't complain too much.

3.5 Little bookworms
This book I did buy and would probably refer a friend to read because it is well written and cheap :D I've read books by Courtney Cole before and I find that she always has a dark twist that makes my skin crawl in a bad way. When I read 'Princess' a few months back I had a very similar feeling that occurred while reading this book as well. Maybe I am just weird, which is most likely the case. This book did catch me off guard at the end but nothing so over the top surprising that I would call it shocked. For the most part the book was entertaining although I expected something different when I first read about this book. It wasn't even close to how I pictured this book to be but that doesn't really mean it wasn't a good book either. It just wasn't the book I wanted nor did it change my mind about the fact it was so different than my mental image.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I seriously feel like my Paranormal Romance readers-friends have been holding out on me with these books! This author is creeping up to my top five list very, very fast!
This book gives me everything I look for in a book... feisty little spunky leading lady... swoon-worthy, hot man candy leading man... adventure with just enough blood & guts that lights up my sick-twisted paranormal world mixed with just the right amount of carefree-smutty romance.
I am trying to pace myself with this series but it's hard! All I want to do is read, read, read! I'm going to be starting book three next, so I am trying to squeeze another book in between each book of the series, that way I can take my time with this series. Easier said than done ; )

If you haven't read Abbi Gline before, then you are seriously missing out! I read Existence months ago when I first bought my Kindle. I somehow stuck the rest of her books under the to-read stack and forgot about them. I saw a bunch of people reading the Vincent Boys/Brothers and had to reconnect with this amazing author!
I am so happy that I did because I read all three of these and loved them each! They are all so different and will make you want to pull your hair out one minute and scream with fury the next. Just a whirlwind of emotions that keep you going up until the last page.
If you like books like Callum & Harper - Thomas & January - Fragile - Going Under - then you will totally love Abbi Gline's books!

The one thing that I did like about this book is how the girl was the flake! Well that's kind of annoying in any book but this was refreshing because the girl was the one running away from the drama and heartbreak.

It's raw and vivid. You have to be able to handle what you don't want to hear when you read this book. It's not the everyday love story but then at the same time it is.
It's everything you love in a contemporary romance book with all the drama & stress of a realistic love story. It's a great book that will leave you touched because of it. Opens your eyes to the power of love. Not only the power to heal and protect but also that power love has to destroy and suppress.

I am drawn more towards the Paranormal Romance genre but I also like just everyday Paranormal/Urban Fantasy. This book didn't have enough of any one thing to keep me fully involved in this series. I wanted to like it more than I did but I just couldn't.
Might be a great book for others but just wasn't the one for me. Not enough sexual tension or love interest. There was adventure but at parts I felt bored with it? And I love a good witch but I prefer the ones who can make things happen with chants and spells - this breed of witch was more about amulets and charms. I am reading these 3 books in between my others. I've never done that before. Typically if I get bored I just stop reading it because I don't want to waste time on it. Or I keep strong and finish the book so I can make a decision of how I really feel about a book. Wrecked - I love Elle Casey! But this book just isn't working for me. Too many point of views and just unrealistic. And I don't mean the shipwrecked part, I just mean the characters. I can't like any of them and can't understand them or why they do what they do.
Water - A good book blogger friend told me about this one and I am trying to get into it as well and I'm struggling. When I talked to her about it she had similar hangups but said that their is a twist that will blow me a way. I promised to see it through because now I have to know what happens. Same problems with this book as I do with Wrecked. I just don't connect to the characters and it just doesn't seem realistic to me. Yeah, even paranormal has limitations in my world. If it's not believable even for a book that's out there then it's really hard to understand. It's one thing to build a fantasy world and make it connect and it's another to half-ass build a fantasy world and give me reasons to doubt it.
Possessed - This is Book 3 in the series and I have been dying for this one to release. I don't know if too much time has passed in between reading Book 2 & Book 3 or if my taste has changed? This one just seems repetitive and dull. I am hoping it picks up but I'm worried it's not going to.
I've been a busy little bee these past few days. I think I've read a book a day for the last week. I've been neglecting my own book but I just need space from it right now. There are so many decisions I am trying to make and haven't felt 100% committed just yet. Soon... Soon, I promise! Anyways. I've got some great books to tell you about that will not disappoint you! The three that I am going to review today were all 5 star reviews! It's been a while that I've been so shocked to read one great book after another. Maybe that's why I can't focus - I'm in a good book zone and can't break away from the happiness of it all. So go read these books and let me know what you think!

As I've posted in a previous book blog, Morgan Hannah MacDonald is amazing! Her book Sandman will keep you on your toes and this new book is no exception! She has done it again! Her books actually make you feel the goosebumps creep up your arm and the hairs stand on the back of your neck. Yep... she's that good and scaring you! A scary plot, powerful leading lady, and a sexy come-to-the-rescue hunky male costar : )
This book will leave you haunted to your core and make you keep the nightlight on long after the book is over with. Trust me when I tell you that she is by far my favorite serial killer writer out there. She gets in their minds and creates an evil person that makes your skin crawl. She isn't afraid to push the boundaries and test your limits. This book isn't for the faint of heart and surely isn't for ever reader. It takes a gutsy person to read her riding but if you have it in you, you won't be disappointed.
This is the first book of a trilogy and I can't wait for the next two! She is probably one of my favorite authors of all times and definitely my favorite thriller based writer. If you haven't heard of her then you are missing out on an amazing story teller.

Wow... how have I not been known about this amazing writer before now? I feel cheated... some of my book friends have obviously been holding out of me : )
Callum & Harper are such a cute couple! So adorable and you can't help but fall in love with them both. Their little romance will leave you so frustrated and annoyed but in a good way. Towards the end I cried. I don't mean, one lonely tear, I mean sobbing that made my vision blurry and prevented me from reading the book until I pulled myself together kind of cry. Later that afternoon my husband grabbed my hand and was like whats that? Embarrassed, I responded with "left over mascara from crying earlier and wiping it off." Oh yeah, I got the crazy husband glare that said 'I'll never understand you & your fantasy characters'. Should of known to hide the evidence of my pathetic little tear fest but nope, I was caught red-handed with my fingers in the cookie jar and crumbles stuck to my chin. Whatever, Callum & Harper was so worth it! I feel in love with this story, these characters, and this author!

After finishing Callum & Harper I immediately went to Amazon to buy Thomas & January. It was a spin off book and I almost think it was better than the original. As much as I loved Callum & Harper... I have to be honest, I really, really, head-over-heels feel in love with Thomas & January. No tears this go around but that's okay because I was too busy being happy.
This book was a little more mature and a tab more believable to be honest. I found myself getting lost in their love story because it wasn't as complicated as Callum & Harper's story. To be fair, it would be like comparing apples and oranges. The two books stand alone and are both equally unique plots. I can't wait for the next one to come out! These books made me feel like I did when I read Scars & Beautiful Disaster. Well, Callum & Harper gave a more intense, emotional roller coaster of a literary ride but the overall theme of Thomas & January was similar. They were just such different story lines and they left me feeling a change within myself. Just wonderful books that give a refreshing breathe of fresh air from my usual paranormal romance books.

 Devour

This was a very interesting take on the paranormal romance world I usual stick too. I went into not really knowing what it was about. I feel in love with Eli right off the bat and couldn't wait to find out what type of supernatural he was. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the unique story of Devour. I've always heard a lot about Shelly Crane but never got around to reading one of her books. I was happy that I moved this series up to the top of my to-read list. The characters were interesting and had deep stories from their past to intertwine with their present, complicated situation. Very well written and entertaining series that will keep you interested from the first to last page.
Both Devour & the follow-up book, Consume, were great stories with a different twist to the paranormal typical breeds of supernaturals. I have both books 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend Shelly Crane's books to friends as well as read other series that she has out. If you decide to read them please let me know what you think of them.

EXCERPT: Sean heard a strange buzzing sound. He stopped, brows furrowed, and concentrated on zeroing in on the exact location of the noise. Failing at this, he shrugged, and then continued up the strand. But with each step his uncertainty grew. The irritating cacophony had increased in volume.
Within seconds Sean found himself about fifty feet from where he’d left his gear. Before him lay a blanket of black that appeared to be moving. “What the hell?” He hesitated, waiting for the synapses in his brain to start firing, before taking another step.

Sean couldn’t look away even if he had wanted to. Some strange fascination took hold of his brain and wouldn’t let go. Systematically, his mind dissected the grisly scene before him.
Sticking out of the rolling mound of seaweed was a woman’s arm. It was stiff as a mannequin’s, extending skyward as if reaching to him for help. The mottled blue hand wore long red fingernails, two of which had been broken down to the quick. Seaweed was wrapped around her arm like a feather boa.
Sean’s gaze then locked onto another object protruding from the sandy grave: a leg that seemed to be severed mid-thigh, but closer inspection revealed that it was really half-buried. It too appeared tangled in the bubbly brown vegetation.
The foot, like the hand, wore a shock of bright red polish on its perfectly manicured toes, clashing with the bluish pallor of the flesh. His eyes grew wide at the sight of flies and sand crabs greedily devouring the soft tissue. He choked back bile. The spell was broken.
Sean stepped backward so fast he tripped over his own feet and landed on his butt. He scrambled up and raced toward the shore. He couldn’t get away fast enough. He reached the water’s edge before falling to his hands and knees. His insides lurched so hard that he thought he would spew his stomach lining. Dry heaves continued long after his stomach had emptied. He collapsed, exhausted. A wave washed over him, but he hardly noticed.

It was a fabulous story with a unique storyline. Water was fresh and unlike anything I have ever read before. And the flow and balance of the book was perfect. You got the right amount of suspense, romance, and action. The author gave the right amount of detail in the book too, which left me smiling. (I sometimes will skip over several paragraphs in a book due to too much detail.) Kaitlyn is a brave, yet slightly sarcastic, woman who rose out of the ashes and only became stronger. She wasn't going to let getting kidnapped bring her down. She got fierce and was a force to be reckoned with. When up against an obstacle she always found a way to overcome it. This is no timid little girl. No way, nuh uh! I loved her and found myself wondering what she (and Micah) was up to while I was laboring away cleaning my house. Don't you hate that...knowing the characters are having more fun in their book while you are cleaning and working? BOO! But how can I go on and on about how great this book was when there is a rape involved? Do I come off as an insensitive, heartless wretch? And here I am lying in bed at 1 am writing part of this review knowing it won’t wait until morning. This book was great and heartbreaking all at the same time. I hated some of the things that happened in the book (referring to the rape) but the other things made it great. And those great things kept me reading; it as if I couldn’t get enough of the book. I don’t usually read the excerpts from the next books at the end…but this one I had to. I am completely and utterly ready to get my hands on Air. It is a must! I have to know what happens to these characters I instantly fell in love with. What will happen to Kaitlyn? Will lives be shattered even more? Will love triumph over evil? Water is definitely not YA. So please keep that in mind when you are deciding if you want to read it or not.

 Witchcraft by Emma MillsI have talked to Emma Mills on several occasions and she is a very sweet girl who just happens to be a bad ass author : ) I fell in love with her first book, Witchblood, by the cover alone. It was so beautiful yet disturbing I had to investigate. Thank goodness I did because the book was pretty amazing. The last few chapters are what make the book in my opinion. It let me saying... OMG... WTF... NO WAY! Yep it was that mind blowing at the end. But I won't give away any secrets because you need to go read it! Okay... so onto Witchcraft! This one started out a little slow for me but that might be because it's been so long since I read the first book. But it quickly picked up speed and adventure leaving me happy with the progress. First off I like the main character, Jessie, because she isn't weak. She isn't scared to defy anyone and everything. I hate a weak little crybaby leading female. She isn't perfect but that just makes her easy to relate to. I can't decide on if I like Daniel or not... still up in the air. However, I am fairly certain I dislike Luke, a lot. He pisses me off because you can't want what you didn't try to have and protect. If you toss Jessie to the side knowing Daniel will be their to mend her broken heart, then you can't crying about it. Suck it up! Anyways... the book was amazing and I read it in like a day and a half. Easy read that doesn't leave you bored. The end was once again another cliff hanger but this time I know she {author} is just toying with my emotions. I don't believe for one second that's how it's going to end but she just might surprise me. I'm looking forward to finding out though!!!So if you like vampires {and who doesn't} and if you like witches {how can you not} then you will enjoy this book. There are other magically being but I don't want to toss out any possible spoilers. It is written by a girl in Europe and the book is set throughout Europe so some of the terms and slang words are foreign but they don't take away from the storyline. It's a refreshing breath of air to see a different piece of the world through her character's eyes. American's do make a small appearance and somehow I foresee a trip to the States in the next book. Hope this helps you decide if this is something you might enjoy or not. Gotta support the other Indie Author's out there that are as nice as this one is! She has always been supportive of me and never failed to say thank you when I complimented her or ignored an e-mail or fb post. That says a lot about someone's character and those are the little things that I think take people farther in this life. You treat others how you wish to be treated... and it will find a way of repaying you for you humble and sweet attitude. Emma - Good luck with this book and keep me updated on the next book! By the way... the cover art just keeps getting better and better!
